The Color of Work : Digital Video / Stereo Sound / 41min

The Color of Work is a purely poetic cinematic exercise in expressing one’s disgruntled inner self in the age of handheld digital cinema and post-apocalyptic alienation. It is undoubtedly clear to me that this film is haunted by an experimental style of the past that makes it, in my estimation, sickeningly nostalgic for a time in which I never existed. Nonetheless, it brings me warmth. A digital fire to warm my invisible hands.

This film was shot primarily at my day job in customer service. The prologue and epilogue were filmed at Bell Isle in Richmond, VA and at my old apartment.
