Empty Throne was originally conceived and displayed as an infinitely looping video for projection in a gallery setting. This is the film version complete with opening credits as well as a dedication to Josh Saunders. The runtime is an hour and four minutes.
For the uninitiated: Joshua Faye Saunders is a YouTuber, musician, and goth who hails from Casper, Wyoming. He goes by KingCobraJFS and has a dedicated cult following. This is footage of his first apartment that which he eventually became evicted from. This space holds a special place in many hearts and minds, my own included.
